What this site sets today
Nothing that tracks you.
Rooms & Rides currently runs no analytics, no advertising, and no affiliate tracking. Loading a page here does not set a cookie, and does not tell any third party that you visited.
Two narrow exceptions, neither of which affects a reader:

If you have never logged in to this site, and you almost certainly have not, you have no cookies from us.
Why the site is unusually clean
Most of what sets cookies on a travel site is bolted on: ad networks, heatmaps, chat widgets, social embeds, web fonts loaded from someone else’s server.
This site avoids them deliberately. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than Google’s. There are no social embeds, no comment system, and no chat widget. Videos and maps, when they appear, will load only after you click.
That is partly a privacy decision and partly a speed one. The two usually point the same way.
What will change, and when
Two things are planned, and this page will be updated before either goes live.
Analytics. The intention is a privacy-first tool such as Plausible or Fathom. Both work without cookies and without collecting personal data. If we ever choose something that needs consent instead, a consent banner will appear and nothing will load until you choose.
Affiliate links. When the site starts earning commission, clicking an outbound link may set a cookie belonging to the merchant, such as a booking site, so they can attribute the booking. Those cookies are theirs, governed by their policies, and set only if you click. Browsing this site will still not set them.
We will name the merchants here when that happens.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. Look for Privacy or Cookies in your settings.
Blocking cookies will not break anything on this site, because nothing here depends on them.
